Agate set in brass and leather necklace

In the north of our country, in Artigas, we find deposits of both agates and amethysts. For the agates to acquire these colors, they are dyed using chemical processes.  to highlight the drawing formed by its bands. In this way, much more vivid colors are obtained. 

This is a hand-set brass piece and has a natural leather choker with surgical steel lobster clasps.
